Longshots and Consistency in Horse Racing Handicapping

One of the problems that horseplayers face is cash flow. Maintaining a bankroll while wading through the past performances and betting on horse races isn’t always easy and even the best of us have a bad meet from time to time and tap out. My way of dealing with it in the past has been to go fishing for a while and then come back to horse racing with a fresh outlook. I review what happened and try to learn from the experience. When you bet lower priced horses, perhaps sticking to the top three contenders in races that you find formful such as the “True” races I mentioned in “Horseplayer,” your strike rate will be pretty high and you may have a better chance of keeping your cash. However, sometimes there are longshots that are worth a bet.
