Horse Racing Handicapping In The Paddock and On The Track
One very good handicapping method that is often overlooked is sight handicapping. The process of evaluating the runners in a race on the basis of how they appear physically at the time of the race or only moments before post time may pay off in big dividends. While it is important to read the past performance thoroughly and to form an opinion about the pace of the race and other factors, the would-be prognosticator must remember that was then and post time is now. In other words, form like many things in life is fleeting and fickle, here today gone tomorrow.
