A Comparison of Arlington, Santa Anita and Hialeah Park Racetracks
Arlington Park International Racecourse as it is called from the current year 2013 reverted from its original name Arlington is located in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was the first racetrack in the year 1981 to have a million dollar purse race for Thoroughbreds. The Chicago region has been a major horse racing venue since the early days of the city in 1830s and at one time had more horse racing tracks than any other metropolitan area in the country.
