The easier it is to handicap a horse race the more likely it is for you to make some money. If you waste your time and money on horse races that show little and don’t offer much hope for a winner, how will you make a profit. Yes, longshots are great bets when you know how to pick them, but 80% of the races are won by horses that are considered contenders by the crowd and that do show a possibility of a win. Therefore, it makes more sense to confine your efforts at picking a winner to the races where statistically the winner is from among the lower odds horses that the crowd has identified as a contender.

Playing the horses requires that you know how to understand betting angles. Many players don’t have a deep understanding of the methods, factors or systems they’re using and this puts them at a disadvantage in the game. All angles are composed of two or more factors and once you’ve created one you must test it to know that angle’s limitations. Horse Racing And The Secret Of The Jockey Standings

The person that rides the horse is the secret of the jockey standings or a jockey’s record of accomplishments which is a list that changes about every three weeks. If there are no jockeys there will be no races. That’s how important the jockey is and learning their different skill levels is useful in determining the probable ‘win’ position horse. The public’s handicapping which is in the form of the tote board gets the ‘win’ horse about 33% of the time and the morning line in the track’s program gets the ‘win’ horse about 31.6% of the time.The jockey standings are after the morning line in capacity where the top three jockeys gets the ‘win’ position horse with a 29% catch rate. This makes it useful because it’s reliable as a handicap method.

A plan shouldn’t be rigid but flexible in the sense that you must be able to change minor details to it without changing its’ major structure. A monetary goal must be chosen with a dollar amount that’s to be achieved in the future. Whether it’s in the hundreds of thousands of dollars or in the millions of dollars. The plan you set for yourself must be in writing and not only in your head.

Horse Racing And How To Play The Pick 3

How to play the pick 3 or the ‘triple’ far better means learning a few things such as the many combinations of field sizes which composes it. All pick 3’s aren’t equal in the sense of field size. Some of them pay less than others not only because of the odds but because of the field sizes. There are 120 combinations based on field sizes for this bet. Usually the larger the field sizes a pick 3 is made of the larger the payouts of which is a general statement about payout amounts. Also one of the things to learn is to never play every pick 3 because you’ll loose money. The way to play the pick 3 is to be very selective about the races you choose and to pass or play races that indicates small payouts.
