Maybe they seldom win presidential races, but long shots do win horse races every day. If you want to make money betting on horse races, take my advice and start making a habit of thinking about horses at high odds as just as likely to win as the favorite. I know you’ve been told that favorites win about a third of the races, far more than any other betting choice in the race, but that still means that they lose two out of three races.
